My Creations
I absolutely love watching a pile of sticks turn into a basket! It is the coolest thing! My friend Shelly offered to do a basket making class for our monthly craft group. So she ordered the supplies and we made the small berry basket. It was fun. Then she offered do another class for the home school mom's, and I signed up again. While the other ladies made berry baskets, I made the market basket. It was cool again. Then Shelley and I decided to make apple baskets. So, she ordered the pattern and the supplies and we set a date. This was a first for her also, but we sat down and in about 5 hours each made an apple basket. I was hooked! That was all while we were stationed in Korea. Since our move back to the U.S. I have not had the opportunity to make any more baskets, but it is on my list of things to do again. So for my birthday last month Shelley sent me the supplies you see in yesterday's photo. I can't wait to get started. Shelley made the neatest snow flakes out of basket reed that I am going to make one day soon. Then I will tackle one of the baskets in the book of patterns she included in the gift. Thank you Shelley for getting me excited again about Basket Weaving!

Neat! I didn't guess correctly. :) Very nice baskets.
That is really neat! What a fun talent to have!
You did a great job! The moms in our homeschool co-op are getting together in the Spring to make baskets. I'm nervous because I have absolutely NO artistic talent whatsoever!
I can't believe I got it right! I was just guessing.LOL
Oh, I used to make baskets years ago! I loved it then, and every summer I plan to try it again. You did a great job.
Very cool! I'd love to learn how to do this.
